I first saw this trend online with someone adding hot sauce and honey to chicken, we thought this was insane until we tried it – Genius!!!

This delicious sauce is my new go-to for almost everything – halloumi, whipped feta, fried chicken, cocktails, and salad dressings.

To make hot honey is pretty simple, it’s honey that’s infused with dried chilli flakes, it’s sweet it’s spicy and you’re going to love it!! You can of course play around with the heat, try chipotle chilli flakes for a smokier flavour, and a serrano chilli for something with a bit more kick.

Hot Honey
Ingredients

1 cup honey
1 tablespoon chilli flake (adjust according to your liking)
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

Method

Add honey and chilli flakes to a saucepan on medium heat. Gradually bring this to a simmer, remove from heat and stir in white wine vinegar.

Allow to cool to room temperature and transfer to a glass container.
