
Pesto Cheddar Puff Pastry Christmas Trees
Ingredients
1 sheet of puff pastry
100g basil pesto
100g cheddar cheese, grated
Method
Preheat oven to 180C. Prepare a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
Roll out the puff pastry. Slice in half so you have two squares.
Spread the basil pesto over one-half of the pastry and top with the grated cheddar, gently pressing the cheese into the pastry.
Sandwich with the other half of the pastry and press gently.
Slice into 8 equal strips, fold each pastry strip to form the shape of a tree and place a skewer through it.
Place each pastry tree on the prepared baking tray and bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown.
Once cooked, remove and allow to cool. Using a cutter, cut out star shapes and place on the top tip of each skewer. Enjoy!
