You don’t have to travel further than your kitchen for this amazing Napoletana sauce. This is my first time making it and it tastes better than store bought sauce.
This is perfect to spoon over a pizza or over linguine throw in a few fresh basil leaves and you have a meal in minutes.
Ingredients
1 large onion
2 cloves crushed garlic, fresh is best
A few glugs of olive oil
6 tomatoes
1 bayleaf
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
Pinch of sugar
Salt to taste
Method
1. Heat up olive oil and brown onions and garlic.
2. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
3. Add the salt, sugar and bayleaf and allow to simmer for an hour.
That’s it, so delicious and so simple. The Italians do it best.
