Chocolate French Toast Bowls

A few days ago I came across a picture of ice cream being served in a 1/4 loaf of bread 😐.

No guys!!! Just no!!

However that did give me an idea for something pretty darn cool, similar concept on turning a Bunny chow into a dessert, chocolate french toast bowls with a delicious filling of whipped cream and caramelized bananas, and of course more chocolate 🙌

Chocolate French Toast Bowls


1 loaf unsliced white bread, crusts removed

1 cup chocolate nesquick or hot chocolate, cooled

3 eggs

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Caramelised bananas

Melted milk chocolate

Freshly whipped cream


1. Slice the bread into quarters inch. Slice a slit into the side of each piece of bread, making pockets.

2. Pour the hot chocolate and 3 eggs into a bowl and whisk together. Place the bread into the dish and soak on each side.

3. Melt some butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the bread on each side for about 3-4 minutes.

4. To serve, layer with caramelised bananas, melted chocolate and fresh whipped cream and enjoy!
