Chocolate Coconut Flapjacks

Ingredients

230g unsalted butter

130g brown sugar

160g golden syrup

Pinch of salt

300g oats

60g desiccated coconut

150g milk or dark chocolate, melted

50g white chocolate, melted

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C, and prepare line a 20x20cm square baking tin with baking paper and set aside.

To a mixing bowl, add the oats and coconut and set aside.

Place the butter, sugar, salt, and golden syrup into a saucepan and melt over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and pour into the mixing bowl with the oat mixture.

Mix in well until combined.

Add the mixture into the prepared tin, press evenly, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbling. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the baking tin.

Once cooled, pour the milk or dark chocolate over the flapjacks and spread it out evenly. Drizzle the white chocolate over and swirl with a spoon. 

Once the chocolate has set, cut it into slices and enjoy! 

Store in an airtight container.
