
Smash Burger Tacos
Ingredients
500g lean beef mince
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper, ground
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
5 flour tortillas
100g cheddar cheese, grated
1 head of butter lettuce, rinsed
Fresh tomato, thinly sliced
Method
Add the beef mince to a mixing bowl, and add in the garlic powder, salt, black pepper, oregano, and chilli flakes. Mix till combined.
Divide the mince mixture into 4 patties.
Place the tortillas on a cutting board, and place each patty on top of each tortilla. Flatten/smash the mince patties using your fingers until they cover the tortilla.
Place tortilla in a frying pan on medium-high heat, cook till the burger patty has browned, 5-6 minutes, and flip to cook the bottom for another 2 minutes.
Remove the tortilla to a plate, top with cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato slices, and your favorite burger sauce, and enjoy!
