Aglio E Olio
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
6 large garlic cloves, thin slivers
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup fresh parsley, minced
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
3 tbsp butter
Fresh black pepper
Juice of 1 lemon
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and add the spaghetti, cooking until al dente 8-10 minutes, and reserve 1 cup of pasta water for later.
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add the sliced garlic and stir often until golden brown.
Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Add the drained spaghetti into the pan and toss until evenly coated with the olive oil, add a splash of the pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
Remove pan from heat and add the butter, parsley, and parmesan and toss well.
Add extra salt and pepper if needed, add the lemon juice, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
